The La Liga match of the 26th round between Villarreal and Espanyol has been postponed, according to Villarreal’s press service.
The team’s statement reads: “Following safety recommendations and due to the risk of flooding caused by the current weather conditions in the province of Castellón, match officials have decided to postpone today’s match between Villarreal and Espanyol.”
The match was scheduled to take place at Villarreal’s home stadium. Heavy rainfall is observed in the province of Castellón.
A new date for the match will be announced at a later time.
