Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior aims to become the highest earner at the club under his new contract, according to reports.
Sources indicate that Real Madrid initiated negotiations with the Brazilian player’s representatives regarding a new agreement after learning about his agents’ discussions with Saudi Arabian clubs about a potential transfer. However, the winger has presented Real Madrid with a demand for a significantly increased salary. He is seeking to earn €25 million net per year, which is more than Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham currently receive. All three players currently earn €15 million net per year.
Vinicius’s representatives believe that the winger deserves a salary increase, considering his contribution to the team.
The Brazilian has been playing for Real Madrid since 2018. In the current season, the 24-year-old footballer has played 30 matches in all competitions, scoring 16 goals and providing 12 assists.
