Vlahovic Reconsiders Arsenal Transfer as Juventus Woes Continue
Dusan Vlahovic’s difficulties at Juventus have persisted despite the appointment of new manager Igor Tudor. The Serbian striker’s poor form has fueled speculation about his future with the Italian club, potentially opening the door for a summer transfer.
Vlahovic’s struggles were highlighted in Juventus’ recent 1-0 loss to Parma, where he was substituted at halftime due to injury. The 25-year-old has failed to score in his last seven matches, with his most recent goal coming in late February against Cagliari.
Juventus is growing increasingly concerned about Vlahovic’s future at the club. According to reports from Corriere dello Sport, selling the striker next summer may be the only option for the club to recoup part of their significant investment. Vlahovic joined Juventus from Fiorentina for €70 million, excluding add-ons, and is currently the highest-paid player at the club with an annual salary of €12 million.
With Vlahovic’s contract set to expire in June 2026, Juventus faces a difficult decision. They must either offer him a new deal or sell him next summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer. Interestingly, Vlahovic’s stance on potential destinations appears to have shifted. While he initially rejected interest from several clubs, including Arsenal, during his Juventus unveiling in 2022, he is now said to be open to moves to top-tier leagues, with Arsenal and Bayern Munich described as his preferred options.
This change in attitude suggests that Vlahovic may be willing to consider alternative opportunities to revitalize his career, should his struggles at Juventus continue. The coming months will be crucial in determining the striker’s future and whether he will remain in Turin or seek a new challenge elsewhere.
