Which Milan Players Would Allegri Trust Most?

Reports suggest Massimiliano Allegri might return to Milan. Analysts are discussing which players would best suit his tactical approach. A key point is whether star player Rafael Leao’s defensive work rate aligns with Allegri’s demands.

Allegri is known for prioritizing a solid, effective style over purely attacking football. This philosophy is unlikely to change if he rejoins Milan.

Historically, Allegri prefers players who are tactically aware, physically strong, and versatile.

Key Milan Players for Allegri

According to reports, Strahinja Pavlović is well-suited for Allegri. His physical presence, defensive skills, and adaptability to different defensive formations make him a strong contender.

In midfield, Allegri tends to favor players who are both technically skilled and hard-working, capable of maintaining balance between attack and defense. Players like Yunus Musah and Warren Bondo possess qualities similar to Blaise Matuidi and Adrien Rabiot, who were important under Allegri at Juventus.

However, Tijjani Reijnders could be the most interesting midfield option. His technical ability, high energy levels, and composed finishing make him an excellent fit for Allegri’s tactical system.

In attack, Christian Pulisic is highlighted as a player Allegri would value. His work ethic, tactical understanding, and ability to play in multiple attacking positions align well with Allegri’s pragmatic style. Pulisic’s versatility is a tactical asset that Rafael Leão currently doesn’t provide.

While Rafael Leão is known for his speed and dribbling, making him dangerous in counter-attacks, his inconsistency and commitment levels might lead Allegri to prefer more dependable players.

Santiago Giménez is another striker who could be important under Allegri, provided he avoids the issues Dusan Vlahovic faced. Vlahovic often appeared isolated, failing to be the impactful player expected. Allegri would aim to prevent similar problems with Giménez.
