According to reports, Massimiliano Allegri is the leading candidate for Milan to replace Sergio Conceiçao as coach, primarily because of his extensive knowledge of Serie A and his history of winning trophies.
Milan are widely expected to part ways with Conceiçao at the end of the current season. Allegri, who previously coached Milan, has become the frontrunner to take over at San Siro for the 2025-26 season.
The Rossoneri are also in the process of hiring a new sporting director, with Fabio Paratici and Igli Tare being considered the main contenders for the position.
Sources suggest that Milan are seriously considering reuniting Paratici and Allegri, hoping to replicate their successful partnership from their time at Juventus.

Despite their relationship souring in 2019, which led to Juventus dismissing Allegri, his recent visits to London have reportedly played a role in potentially bringing the coach and director back together.
It is also reported that key figures at Milan, including Giorgio Furlani, Geoffrey Moncada, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, are admirers of Allegri.
Despite a past clash between Ibrahimovic and Allegri when Allegri coached Milan, the former striker is said to still hold the Italian manager in high regard.
Reports conclude that “currently, there is no other coach available who matches Allegri’s quality.”
It is believed that after last summer’s appointment of Fonseca, the Milan leadership, including Cardinale, are seeking a coach they can trust implicitly to rebuild the team. They desire someone with a proven track record, deep Serie A experience, and, crucially, the ability to win the Scudetto.
Allegri previously won a Serie A title with Milan and managed the club for three and a half years, from 2010 to January 2014.
