Wolverhampton Wanderers in Talks for Kevin Danso Loan Deal
Wolverhampton Wanderers are currently in discussions with Lens regarding a potential loan move for Kevin Danso, the 26-year-old Austrian international defender. Lens appears to prefer loaning Danso to a Premier League club rather than selling him to a competitor within Ligue 1.
While Rennes has also expressed interest in acquiring Danso before the transfer window closes, Lens is prioritizing negotiations with Wolves. The two clubs have been exploring the possibility of a loan arrangement until the season’s end, with talks including a potential €25 million purchase option.
Danso’s Reservations
Despite the ongoing negotiations, Danso himself has yet to fully embrace the idea of a temporary move to the Premier League. Both Lens and Wolves face the challenge of persuading the center-back that this transfer would be beneficial for his career. Danso, who previously had a loan spell with Southampton, is reportedly skeptical about the proposed move.
As discussions continue, it remains to be seen whether Wolves and Lens can convince Danso to make the switch to the Premier League for the remainder of the season.
