Wolverhampton Wanderers recently sent scouts to watch an ‘excellent’ young striker in action, according to a report.
Munetsi delighted with first Wolves goal
Wolves have improved significantly since Vitor Pereira became manager in December, and they are now likely to stay in the Premier League next season.
This improvement is largely due to the performances and goals of star player Matheus Cunha, who has scored 15 goals in all competitions, including 13 in the Premier League.
Now, with Cunha suspended, Wolves fans wondered who would step up against Everton. Marshall Munetsi, signed from Reims in January, answered the call, scoring the equalizer in a 1-1 draw.

“It feels good. It’s been building, and in the last few games I’ve had chances to score. In football, you never know when you’ll score,” Munetsi said, reflecting on his first goal for the club. “But I think the coach and players have always believed in me to keep pushing and scoring.”
Pereira praised Munetsi’s work ethic: “He deserves it because he’s a player with the speed I like. He gives everything to help the team, and he scored and will score more goals for sure.”
Wolves scouting Viktoria Plzen striker Durosinmi
If Wolves remain in the Premier League, they will need to reduce their reliance on Cunha by signing new forwards. The club is reportedly already working on this, sending scouts to watch Viktoria Plzen striker Rafiu Durosinmi against Lazio in the Europa League last week.
Plzen lost 2-1, but Durosinmi, 22, scored, his fifth goal in 10 games this season, despite missing time due to injury.
Durosinmi, who is 6 foot 4, has been praised by Plzen coach Miroslav Koubek for his performances this season.
Speaking about Durosinmi after Plzen’s 3-1 win over Ferencváros in February, where Durosinmi scored and assisted, Koubek said: ‘Rafiu is excellent in the box. He has a goal instinct, finds the right spot, and gets to the ball.
‘However, his play in midfield and combination play needs work. He’s not yet at his peak. But if he scores two goals in 60 minutes, we won’t complain.’
