Wolves Target Former Premier League Midfielder as Potential Lemina Successor

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly in the race to sign former Premier League midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Besiktas. The 31-year-old is said to be keen on a return to England’s top flight, with Wolves seeing him as a potential replacement for Mario Lemina, who is likely to depart the club soon.

According to reports, Wolves face competition from relegation rivals Leicester City and Championship leaders Leeds United for Oxlade-Chamberlain’s signature. The experienced midfielder, who has won multiple trophies in English football, could provide valuable experience to Wolves’ squad.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has fallen out of favor at Besiktas and is looking for a new challenge. His potential arrival at Molineux could see him partner with Matheus Cunha in an advanced midfield role, potentially recapturing some of the form that made him a standout player during his time at Liverpool.

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp previously praised Oxlade-Chamberlain’s abilities, particularly his shooting skills. Klopp said, “He became a proper No.8 here in the way we wanted to play – super-energetic, technically outstanding. If I could shoot like you, I would start in the morning at seven and finish shooting at nine or 10 o’clock because it’s incredible!”
