Zakharyan’s Agent Explains Footballer’s Injury Recurrence
Gennady Golubin, the agent of Real Sociedad midfielder Arsen Zakharyan, has revealed that the player experienced injury setbacks due to overexertion during his recovery process. However, Golubin assures that Zakharyan is now doing well.
“Relapses can occur. He overexerted himself during training, but it wasn’t anything serious. Now everything is fine,” Golubin stated.
On July 30, 2024, it was reported that Zakharyan had suffered an injury to the peroneal tendons in his right ankle during a training session on July 17. The midfielder returned to training in mid-October but subsequently had to revert to individual sessions due to muscle issues.
Zakharyan resumed full team training on December 11. He was included in Real Sociedad’s squad for matches in the Spanish Cup and La Liga on January 5 and 13, respectively. However, ankle pain prevented him from participating in subsequent matches. On January 28, the Russian footballer finally rejoined the main group for training.
