Nicolo Zaniolo, the former Roma prodigy, has joined Udinese on a season-long loan from Galatasaray. The 26-year-old Italian midfielder`s move includes a €2.5 million loan fee and two potential purchase options for Udinese at the end of the season.
Udinese can either acquire Zaniolo for €5 million with Galatasaray retaining a 50% sell-on clause, or pay €10 million for a full transfer. In a recent interview, Zaniolo shared his thoughts on the move:
“I`m thrilled to be here. The club`s strong interest was a key factor in my decision. At this stage in my career, feeling valued is crucial. I believe we can achieve great things this season.”
Once touted as Italy`s next big star, Zaniolo`s career has faced setbacks due to injuries and off-field issues. However, he sees this move as an opportunity for redemption:
“I feel I`ve grown and changed. My goal now is to find happiness and rediscover my love for the game.”
Zaniolo also expressed his ambition to return to the Italian national team, acknowledging that he must prove himself at Udinese first. With a fresh start in Serie A, the talented midfielder hopes to reignite his career and fulfill his potential under the guidance of Udinese`s coaching staff.
