Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski could be sidelined for approximately two months due to a potentially serious injury. This injury occurred during a brief three-minute appearance in Inter Milan’s 3-2 victory against Monza in Serie A on Saturday night.
Zielinski’s Injury Concerns Inter Milan
Zielinski entered the game as a substitute in the 70th minute, replacing Henrikh Mkhitaryan. However, just three minutes later, he had to be substituted again. He went down, visibly in pain and clutching his calf, despite no contact with another player. Joaquin Correa was brought on as his replacement.

The former Napoli player is scheduled for further medical evaluations in Milan on Monday. Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest a possible two-month absence due to what is believed to be a ‘serious’ calf injury.
If the diagnosis is confirmed, the 30-year-old will miss a crucial part of Inter’s season as they compete for the Serie A title against Napoli and Atalanta. It is unlikely he will return to play before early May at the earliest.
Despite this setback, he is still expected to be available for the FIFA Club World Cup in June and July.
