Zielinski Injury: Inter Milan Midfielder Hurt Early in Monza Match

Inter Milan faces a new injury concern as Piotr Zielinski was forced off the field just three minutes after coming on as a substitute due to a suspected serious injury.

The midfielder entered the game from the bench during this evening’s match against Monza at San Siro, but his appearance was abruptly cut short after only a few minutes.

Without any contact from another player, Zielinski suddenly stopped, appearing to be in significant pain and clutching his right calf.

It immediately became clear that he had suffered a muscular problem, potentially a serious one, given the level of pain which raises fears of a muscle tear.

This injury is unwelcome news for Simone Inzaghi, especially during a busy period for Inter, who are still competing in the Champions League and Coppa Italia.

Zielinski was helped off the pitch by medical staff, and the club is awaiting test results in the coming days to determine the extent of the injury.

Inter are already missing several players including Federico Dimarco, Nicola Zalewski, and Matteo Darmian, while Carlos Augusto and Yann Sommer were only fit enough to be substitutes for this match.
