Kids in search of asylum who have been positioned in government-run resorts have gone lacking, admits a minister.
A British minister has stated that 200 asylum-seeking kids have gone lacking after being positioned in resorts run by the Dwelling Workplace.
The admission follows an investigation by The Observer on Saturday through which a whistle-blower from a Dwelling Workplace resort stated that kids have been being kidnapped off the road and compelled into automobiles.
On Monday, Dwelling Workplace minister Simon Murray instructed the Home of Lords that the lacking kids embrace one woman and a minimum of 13 kids underneath 16.
“The Dwelling Workplace haven’t any energy to detain unaccompanied asylum-seeking kids in these resorts and we do know that a few of them go lacking. Lots of them that go lacking are subsequently traced,” Murray stated.
He added that the overwhelming majority of the lacking kids – 176 of 200 – have been of Albanian origin.
