India mid-fielder Hardik Singh’s medical report doesn’t present any severe damage to his hamstring and, although he’s uncertain for the sport towards Wales on Thursday, he must be obtainable for choice if the hosts qualify for the quarter-finals of the hockey World Cup, his team-mates stated on Tuesday.
Hardik, who scored a superb objective from a solo effort towards Spain in India’s opening match on January 13 at Rourkela, kicked a soccer along with his proper foot throughout coaching on Tuesday.

He had suffered the damage through the match towards England on January 15 in Rourkela.
“He (Hardik) must be high quality. His MRI was carried out and it’s alright. It was a small damage, his muscle stress was not that unhealthy. He must be high quality for the quarter-finals,” younger striker Abhishek instructed PTI after workforce coaching.
“Can’t say whether or not he’ll play towards Wales or not. There are two days left and it will depend on how a lot he recovers,” he added.
Senior mid-fielder Manpreet Singh stated that Hardik wants slightly relaxation and must be again quickly.
“Hardik abhi theek hey, jyada severe nahi hey (Hardik is alright now, not very severe). However he wants slightly little bit of relaxation; hopefully he’ll come again quickly,” stated the previous captain.
Earlier within the day, Hockey India stated that the workforce administration will take a choice on Hardik’s availability for the match towards Wales after assessing the extent of his hamstring damage.
“In the intervening time, no alternative request has been put ahead to the FIH,” stated Hockey India.
