Baskonia Secures First Euroleague Win Against Olimpia Milano

Olimpia Milano lost to Baskonia in Spain during the third round of the Euroleague, falling 87-76. The Italian champions struggled with a slow start and errors in the final moments.

Baskonia established an early lead, finishing the first quarter up 26-16. Milano improved their shooting in the second quarter, but Baskonia maintained a 44-36 advantage at halftime.

Milano rallied in the second half, closing the third quarter 24-21 and tying the game at 70-70 with five minutes remaining. However, Baskonia regained control, capitalizing on Milano's mistakes. A 17-6 run in the final five minutes secured the win for Baskonia.

Lawson led Baskonia with 16 points, supported by 12 from Stewart, and Duarte and Marcio also scoring in double figures. Milano's offense was led by Wright with 17 points, Hall with 12, and Peters with 10. Milano's shooting efficiency was a key factor in the loss, hitting 43.9% on two-point attempts and 29.1% from three-point range, compared to Baskonia's 66.4% and 43% respectively.
