Bologna is nearing a change on the bench, with Domenico Tedesco on the verge of being dismissed. The coach has secured just one point after the first four Serie A matchdays. Without a team after his spell with Fenerbahçe, Domenico Tedesco signed with Bologna in the summer, succeeding Vincenzo Italia. Raffaele Palladino is now ready to take over.
Palladino is thus close to returning to Serie A. The Campania-born coach has been without a club since the end of last season after his stint at Atalanta. Palladino took over in November 2025, inheriting Ivan Juric's squad and guiding them to the Champions League round of 16 – the only Italian team to reach that stage – and qualification for the Conference League.
He achieved a similar result the previous season with Fiorentina, having established himself as one of the most promising figures in Italian football with Monza. Now, the coach is ready for a new challenge. As a manager, Palladino has faced Bologna eight times, securing three wins, two draws, and three losses. He also scored a goal against the Rossoblù as a player in 2014 while at Parma.
