Monza Half Marathon: 10,000 Runners Race Through the National Autodrome

October 5, 2026Carlos Mendoza4 мин

A vast crowd filled the home straight, with 10,000 participants, 32% of whom were international, ready to run or walk across four planned distances: 5km, 10km, 21.097km, and 30km. Families, children, dogs, and competitive amateurs all took part.

The appeal of the Monza Half Marathon was strong, particularly the chance to race in the "Temple of Speed," a track steeped in motorsport history. Runners navigated the curbs and chicanes like Roggia and Ascari, legendary turns such as Lesmo and Parabolica, and even the old high-speed oval with its banked curve. The route offered a unique experience, extending into the green expanse of Monza Park.

Organized by MG Sport, the Monza Half Marathon made its mark, serving as the penultimate event of the 2026 FollowYourPassion circuit, which concludes on November 22nd with the Milan Half Marathon.

At the starting line, Monza's Sport Assessor, Viviana Guidetti, stated: "As a representative of the Monza municipal administration, I can only be proud of this beautiful event. Every year, I'm surprised to see more and more athletes, a colorful tide that grows with each edition, bringing life to our Temple of Speed and our magnificent Park. Good race to everyone."

MG Sport's General Director, Andrea Trabuio, also expressed high satisfaction: "An absolutely magnificent day with a record 10,000 participants and logistics that ran perfectly. Racing here at the Monza National Autodrome is always fascinating, and I see many smiles from everyone. The next FollowYourPassion races are on November 22nd with the Milan Half Marathon, and undoubtedly next year with an even more spectacular edition. Deep gratitude goes to all the institutions, partners, and volunteers who are the soul of the event."
